Sunny days ...

We've had very good weather recently - cold air, but lots of warmth in the sun.

One day we went to Lucca; on the feast of the Immacolata, Barga duomo lit up the star on its tower; Bogdanka visited with her cousin to pick kaki from our kaki tree.

The Pania della Croce seen from the walls of Lucca (this is "our" mountain, the one seen in all the views taken from the house)
After a panino lunch on the wall, Bill poses in front of the church of San Freddiano
Seen from the house, the star is just visible moments after it was switched on
Ruler of the roost seen in the hen run along at the farm when we went along to get some pecorino
Harvesting the kaki in Serbian, Italian and English!
When ripe, the fruits glow in the sunlight ...

  1. I think it's just "Kaki" Pietro! The word is Japanese, apparently, and is used elsewhere in Europe, e.g. Spain ...
