On Thursday, we made the train trip up the valley, through the Appenine chain, and down into the valley of the Po, first to Parma, then onwards via Bologna to Ferrara to meet up with Dave and Donella.
Fine morning to start with in Barga, but by the time we were in Parma, the fogs had descended as is their wont on the Po plain. A very penetrating cold which had no let-up until we were due to leave Ferrara.
We had a break in Parma for a very civilised lunch, and met up with D&D without a problem in Ferrara.

Barbara you look so elegant in the picture in front of Giuseppe Verdi!
ReplyDeleteI note in passing that D&D prefer to meet you in Ferrara rather than in Barga! I thought they liked Barga!
